The Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Professor Amin Alhassann, has debunked a claim by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, that the national broadcaster was paid $3m for coverage of the All African Games.
According to him, the only funds they received was $105,000 from the Ministry.
Speaking on GBC, the Director General said he has all the receipts needed to back up his claim about the amount they received.

The claim has set social media on fire as Ghanaians are stunned to discover that people at the Sports Ministry appear to have embezzled about $2.9m.
“So meaning this man and his people pocket over $2 million . Eeeer,” one person wrote, accompanied by a photo of the Sports Minister.
