Reggae dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has extended his helping hand to four communities in the Shama district of the Western Region.

The award-winning musician, through his Livingstone Foundation, commissioned four mechanized boreholes in the communities of Antiamoah, Beposo Nkran, Daboase Junction, and Borkor Awuku Kope.

The boreholes were constructed to provide safe and reliable water supply to the residents of the communities, whose main source of water, River Pra, has been rendered unsafe by mining activities.

The Iconic afro-dancehall artiste who was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Louisa, and top executives of the foundation, joined the chiefs and people of the communities to commission the boreholes.

Addressing the people , Stonebwoy said,”as Ghanaians, we have to help ourselves out, so if the government is not ready to carry out its work, it is up to the citizenry to do better,” he said.

The Livingstone Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established by Stonebwoy in 2015. The foundation is committed to providing humanitarian assistance to deprived and marginalized communities in Ghana.

Stonebwoy’s gesture has been welcomed by residents of the four communities, who expressed their gratitude to the musician for his kind gesture.

His act of kindness is a reminder that celebrities can use their platform to make a positive impact on society. He is an inspiration to us all and we hope that others will follow his lead.
