Muhammed Baidoo, a retired educator and father of popular Ghanaian rapper, Teephlow, has reportedly passed away.
Teephlow, who is currently based in the United States of America (USA), made the announcement in the early hours of January 22, 2023, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana after a short illness.
Teephlow, a quantity surveyor turned rapper, has made a name for himself in the Ghanaian music industry, with several awards to his name, including the VGMA Record of The Year.
In his post on Facebook, Teephlow wrote, “Death is wicked, Rest well Dada” alongside a picture of his father.
Teephlow’s manager, Ibrahim Baidoo, who is also his brother, shared some details on this devastating event.
He expressed that even though their father had been ill, his death came as a shock.
Ibrahim Baidoo also thanked the fans of the rapper for pouring out to wish him and the family well in this low moment. He said that their father was a great man who served humanity through education as a teacher and religion as an Imam, and a proud father who always supported Teephlow’s music career.
Teephlow is currently lives with his mother and other family members in the US.
