They wanted to pay just 20k pounds – Shatta Wale calls out Wolverhampton show promoters

Call us

Self-acclaimed Dancehall King Shatta Wale has called out Bizzle Entertainment, the organizer of his cancelled concert at The Hangar in Wolverhampton on November 4th, 2023, for failing to meet his management’s expectations.

In a social media rant, Shatta Wale said that the promoters could not pay him the full amount of his performance fee and that the £20,000 down payment they sent was not enough to cover his expenses.

He also said that he was only trying to get to his fans who wanted to see him and not for the “cheap 20k pounds” that the promoters offered.

Shatta Wale further added that he spends more than that £20,000 on his girlfriend’s monthly cosmetology course and personal driver and security costs. He also accused the promoters of being “clout chasers”.

“Forget some of these Ghanaian promoters abroad, when you want to help them then they decide to run cheap shit..

They know they can’t pay me, l was only trying to get to SM fans who wanted to see Shatta Wale and not that cheap 20k pounds which they sent half to Alordia the money sef ano see am less chop am …

For God’s sake my girls Rolly and her 1 Month course for cosmetology not even including her personal driver and security cost more than this bullshit,” he said.

Via Facebook comments, Shatta further added that “he is the reason I don’t like travelling cuz these fuckers think shatta wale is just like every artiste and forget they dealing with a business Mogul who doesn’t take nonsense!!!

Fuck who wants to listen to lies .what is 20k pounds to shatta wale.. That’s some fucken hook-up money …l own things in millions of dollars … we know them all …Clout chasers”.He said

In response, Bizzle Entertainment has released a press statement clarifying that they had fully met all contractual requirements and had paid an initial 50% down payment in good faith.

The statement also said that the promoters were committed to ensuring the success of the event and were working to resolve the issue with Shatta Wale’s management.
