The UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC) has held its second edition to hold funds to support the University of Ghana Medical Centre clinical trial unit at the Health Centre.
The UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce is an organisation dedicated to forging professional relationships between UK and Ghana, where building networks and increasing bilateral trade amongst businesses is paramount and promotes trade between Ghana and the United Kingdom.
The Executive Director of the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, Ms . Adjoba Kyiamah said, Ascot, one of Britain’s most well-known racecourses, holds a special week of races in June each year called the Royal Ascot, attended by Her Majesty the Queen.
This week has become Britain’s most popular race meeting, welcoming over 300,000 visitors all dressed in their finest clothes,” she he said”
According to her the purpose of the workshop held in Accra is to support the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) to establish a clinical medical trail.
According to her, they started it last year and the aim of the organisation is to promote trade between Ghana and the United Kingdom to promote the best of Ghana and the United Kingdom.
She noted that The role of the Chamber is to promote, foster, and represent UK business interests in Ghana – directly helping UK companies identify market opportunities and providing them with a first point of call when looking to do business/trade in Ghana.
The UKGCC will also support Ghanaian companies looking to export into the UK or simply looking for British businesses to partner with. Ghanaian companies looking to invest in the UK will be able to use the UKGCC’s resources to help achieve their goals,” she added”.
