A Ghanaian man living in South Africa has been confronted by a group of locals in an incident that has sparked conversations online about xenophobia and migration within the continent.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the Ghanaian businessman is seen being questioned by a group of South Africans who challenged his presence in the country.
Members of the group told him that instead of travelling abroad, he should have remained in Ghana to contribute to solving the country’s challenges.
One woman in the group is heard stating that foreign nationals are no longer tolerated in South Africa, reflecting growing frustrations among some locals regarding immigration.
Despite presenting his documents to prove his legal status, the man continued to face questioning from the group.
The incident has reignited concerns about xenophobic attitudes toward other African nationals residing in South Africa. Over the years, similar confrontations have been reported, often sparking diplomatic and public reactions across the continent.
