Volta Regional Football Association’s chairman, Daniel Agbogah, has officially submitted his nomination to contest for a second term.

He was accompanied by strong believers in his administration and members of his campaign team. Mr. Agbogah is seeking to lead football administration in the Volta region again, having done so in 2019 by popular acclamation.

Under his tenure, the discipline has seen tremendous development, innovation, and pioneering initiatives in capacity building, sponsorships, and elite programs. However, reports say Mathew Kadu of Agbozume United has picked and submitted forms to contest the incumbent.

Delegates and stakeholders in the game in the region believe the Daniel Agbogah-led administration has served well and must be approved for a second term.

“Mr. Daniel Agbogah has served us selflessly. I have asked one simple question to which I need an answer. I just want to know one important thing which Mr. Agbogah has refused to do even after being prompted, which would serve the good interest of our region. In this regard, the under-listed person has resolved voluntarily to support and sponsor Mr. Agbogah for a second term.”

“We are not doing this for any favour we only believe he has done well and deserves a second term.” The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released the roadmaps for the upcoming elections scheduled for October in Tamale.

The presidential election will be held on September 27, while the regional election will be on September 29, 2023.
