Black Queens attacker, Abdulai Mukarama, is confident about their upcoming friendly against Japan.

Ghana’s senior women’s national team is set to travel to Tokyo next week to face the former world champions as part of their preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations next year.

Mukarama, who recently led Hasaacas Ladies to victory in the women’s league, earned a call-up to the Black Queens squad for the Tokyo trip.

Expressing optimism, Mukarama emphasized their readiness to deliver a strong performance against Japan, a formidable force in women’s football.

“It will be a good exercise for us because we’ve been working hard to get to the highest level of Women’s football, and Japan is one of the teams that we are looking forward to playing against,” she told the media during training in Accra.

“We will show up and put out our best because it is friendly, so we are not emphasising the result but to see how we are going to work and to see what the coach expects us to do in a match,” she added.

Mukarama’s leadership extends beyond the senior team, having also guided the Black Princesses to victory in the U-20 Women’s Championship at the All African Games held in Ghana.
