Ghana forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is oozing with confidence ahead of the Black Stars’ World Cup campaign.The Leicester City winger is expected to star at the tournament as he prepares for his second World Cup, having featured at the 2022 edition in Qatar as a teenager.”I feel amazing because its always a dream come true to be part of a World Cup team. Im privileged to be part of this team, and this is my second time. The first time was about experience and I learnt a lot. Now Im going to put in everything to help the team get to a better position,” he told GFA’s media..Issahaku joined the Black Stars’ early preparation in Cardiff and played in the friendly against Wales, a game that ended 1-1.”So far, so good. The energy in camp is great, and everyone is ready. Training is going well and were just getting ready. Personally, Ive enjoyed the sessions. Its positive I can see the changes. Were getting fit and getting ready for the game,” he added.The Black Stars will leave Rhode Island on Monday for their opener against Panama on Wednesday. Issahaku believes the team are poised for the momentous occasion.”Looking at the team, I have so much confidence in the guys. Everyone is ready and the training were doing is helping. I think its going to make us fitter, improve us, and help the team move forward,” continued the 21-year-old.Issahaku has called on Ghanaians to keep supporting the team, insisting the Black Stars will make them proud.”My message to Ghanaians is simple: keep the support and keep praying for us.
