YouTube megastar MrBeast has tied the knot with longtime partner Thea Booysen in an intimate ceremony on Richard Branson’s private Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
The 28-year-old creator, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, shared the news on Instagram with a series of wedding photos, captioning the post: “Found MrsBeast” before later describing the celebration as “the best day of my life.”
The couple got engaged on Christmas Day in 2024 after Donaldson proposed while they were wearing matching MrBeast-themed festive sweaters. Although widely known for his extravagant YouTube productions, Donaldson previously revealed that he wanted both the proposal and wedding to remain “really private and intimate.” Wedding photos showed Booysen in a lace floor-length gown for the ceremony before changing into multiple looks for the reception, while Donaldson wore a classic white tuxedo.

Donaldson has become the world’s biggest YouTuber, amassing more than 500 million subscribers through viral challenges, large-scale giveaways and high-budget productions. He also created the Prime Video competition series Beast Games, inspired by Netflix’s Squid Game, in which contestants compete for a multimillion-dollar cash prize. Booysen, who is originally from South Africa, is also a content creator with her own YouTube channel, TheaBeasty, where she shares gaming content. She is also a Twitch streamer and published author.
While Donaldson continues to dominate the digital entertainment space, his career has also attracted scrutiny. In recent years, his media company, Beast Industries, has faced legal challenges, including a lawsuit filed by a former employee alleging workplace gender bias and sexual harassment. Separately, contestants from Beast Games have taken legal action over their treatment during production, while the YouTuber has also faced ongoing criticism from some viewers over claims that elements of his viral giveaways and competitions are staged.
