Aduana Stars coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has expressed his complete dissatisfaction with the officiating following their draw against relegation-bound Kotoku Royals on Monday.
Despite expectations that Aduana would secure a win and remain five points clear at the top, they were held to a 1-1 draw. Isaac Mintah gave Aduana the lead, but a late equaliser meant they left Dawu with only one point, which could have serious implications for their bid for a third Ghana Premier League title.
Fabin, whose side are now three points clear at the summit of the table, believes that if officiating had been fair, they would have won.
“The result is not what I’m looking for, and I’m highly disappointed in the referee in the second half because every ball that we came to tackle was a foul against us,” he said.
“Look at the number of free kicks he gave them (Kotoku Royals) in the second half. Is that how we want a worthy champion of the league?” Fabin questioned while speaking to StarTimes after the game.
Never seen Paa Kwesi FABIN this furious before.
I didn’t see the game, but was the officiating in the second half that bad? pic.twitter.com/A9Tzi0CIQl

He added, “I never talk about referees, but I’m highly disappointed by what he has done today.”
Aduana Stars can redeem themselves next week Monday against Karela United.
