Charles Owusu has congratulated the newly appointed Majority Leader, Alex Afenyo-Markin.
The Effutu Member of Parliament ascended to the seat of Majority Leader following a crunch meeting between the leadership of the New Patriotic Party and the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo which resulted in the resignation of Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu.
The immediate past Majority Leader who doubles as parliamentary representative for Suame constituents, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has abdicated his seat to Afenyo-Markin following his appointment as a member of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team and playing a key role in running the New Patriotic Party’s campaign to break the eight-year cycle of governance.
Charles Owusu wished Afenyo-Markin good luck in all his endeavors and was of a strong view that the NPP has chosen an able leader.
“I know he can do it…I wish them well and I wish the government well”, the Nkoranza North independent parliamentary candidate commented on Peace FM’s morning show “Kokrokoo”.
