Assembly Member Acheampong Parise Omane Otuo Presenting Exam Mathematical Set To A Student

BECE Candidates in Adumasa Electoral Area in the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern region have been resourced with examination materials ahead of this year’s exams expected to commence on Monday 8th July 2024 and end on Friday 12th July 2024.

The Assembly Member, Acheampong Parise Omane Otuo, initiated the gesture when he visited basic schools in his electoral area on Friday 5th July 2024 to distribute mathematical sets to all BECE candidates and encouraged them ahead of the examination.

The examination materials of about 100 pieces of mathematical sets were received by candidates of Roman Catholic School Effiduase and Victory International School.

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) disclosed that it scheduled this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination for the 8th to 12th of July 2024. WAEC said exam questions have been distributed across the country including utilizing a drone system to hard-to-reach areas to avert the repetition of challenges it encountered last year. It updated the public at a press conference.

Mr. Acheampong Parise Omane Otuo addressed the students and outlined the motive behind the gesture saying, “I am here today with you not only because of the materials you are receiving but more importantly to encourage you to believe in yourselves that you will overcome the battle ahead of you beginning Monday 8th July”.

“I also started like you in one of the schools in this area, therefore I want to let you know that with determination and hard work, God will surely help you to pass. We believe your teachers have taught you well and you have taken your studies seriously in the three years of stay here”.

“I am ever ready to help any of you who will approach me with better grades and I challenge you not to record above aggregate 12 – I expect you to obtain aggregates 6 to 11. I will support any students within the range of this grade to further education in their preferred senior high institutions in Ghana,” Acheampong Paris Omane Otuo encouraged the students.

Interacting with some students after receiving the examination materials from the assembly member, they noted the importance of the materials in helping them overcome any impediment due to lack of such materials.

Some students also shared their preparedness and expectations towards the exams indicating that they were fully prepared to achieve academic excellence in their three years of studies.
