The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has promised to upgrade hospitals and other infrastructure in the Bosomtwe Constituency.

Addressing party faithful at the ‘Bawumia Community Connect’ on November 11, he appealed to the people to vote for him.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was greeted with a rousing welcome when he mounted the stage to address the party supporters.

He was flanked by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, the Regional Chairman of the NPP, Chairman Wontumi and other party bigwigs.

The NPP flagbearer assured the people of massive development under his leadership.

“Kuntuase, I know your road is your problem, we will fix your road for you. I know you need one astro turf here, we will bring the astro turf to you. I know hospital, the chief has told me about your hospital to be upgraded, we will upgrade the hospital for you,” Dr Bawumia assured.

“The chief has again requested a nursing training college and a district capital, we will bring you the nursing training college and also fix your inner roads,” he added.

Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe and Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutuwum appealed to the people to come out and vote on December 7.

He said a vote for the NPP will help protect the free SHS programme and other policies of government.

“We allow ourselves to be deceived by people that in the Nana Akufo-Addo era, we have not seen any development in Ghana, tell them that Bosomtwe we have seen massive development. If Bosomtwe has seen a major development what are we to say to the NPP government, what we can say to the NPP government is to vote massively for the party,” Dr Adutwum urged.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of NPP Bernard Antwi Boasiako, cautioned the NDC against any form of violence.

“We will not allow the NDC to engage in any violence with us, call your friends to vote for the NPP come December 7.”
