A microphone that was thrown by Cardi B at an audience member in Las Vegas has sold for almost $100,000 on eBay.

The incident took place on July 29, 2023, at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cardi B was performing her hit song “Bodak Yellow” when a woman in the audience appeared to splash a drink on her. Cardi B responded by throwing her microphone at the woman.

The incident was reported to the police, but no charges were filed. The microphone was later retrieved by Scott Fisher, the owner of The Wave Inc., a Las Vegas-based audio production company that provided sound equipment to the beach club on the day of the incident.

Fisher decided to auction the microphone on eBay, with the proceeds going to two charities: Friendship Circle Las Vegas, for teens and young adults with special needs, and the Wounded Warrior Project, for injured veterans.

The auction ended on August 8, 2023, with the microphone selling for $99,900. The buyer has not been identified.Fisher said he was “blown away” by the amount of money the microphone sold for. He said he was “happy” that the proceeds would be going to two worthy charities.

The incident with Cardi B has made the microphone a piece of “hip hop infamy,” Fisher said. He believes that the microphone will continue to be valuable to collectors and fans of Cardi B for years to come.
