Kennedy Boateng, the Togo-Ghanaian centre-back currently without a club, is being linked with Romanian SuperLiga side Univ. Craiova.
The 29-year-old defender left FC Dinamo on 1 July 2026 after two seasons with the Romanian club and is now being considered in connection with a move within the SuperLiga. No transfer fee has been reported, with Boateng currently available after his departure.
Boateng joined FC Dinamo from Austrian side Austria Lustenau in July 2024 on a free transfer. He has made 53 SuperLiga appearances during his career, scoring six goals, and has also played in Portugals Liga Portugal and Austrias 2. Liga.
The centre-back began his European career with LASK in 2016 after moving from Ghanaian club WAFA SC. He later spent time with SV Ried before joining Santa Clara in Portugal, returning to Austria and subsequently moving to Romania.
Boateng has won the Austrian Second League twice, with LASK in 2017 and SV Ried in 2020. His current market value is listed at 1.2m.
The reported link with Univ. Craiova remains a rumour, with Boatengs status as a player without a club leaving his next destination undecided.
