Nollywood actor Yul Edochie is urging Nigerians to embrace their traditions and culture to break free from slavery.

Through his Instagram page, @yuledochie, he emphasized the importance of respecting deities and cautioned against burning them, noting that they are not inherently evil.

According to Edochie, the misconception that traditions are evil was instilled by colonizers to make slavery easier.

He urged Nigerians to reclaim their heritage, as many traditional practices acknowledge the existence of a supreme God.

He warned against disturbing practices one does not understand and emphasized the potential consequences of disrespecting cultural beliefs.
