The launch of this year’s edition of multiple award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, Diana Hamilton’s gospel musical concert, ‘Awake Experience With Diana Hamilton’, took place at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Monday, February 16.
One of the most exhilarating moments that characterized the much-attended event was how ace broadcaster Abeiku Santana emceed it.
The peak of his emceeing was when he facetiously labelled the ‘Adom’ crooner his wife. The ace broadcaster’s congenial pronouncement plunged the entire auditorium into a state of laughter. Abeiku Santana’s overall performance as the MC was very meritorious.
The event was graced by celebrated Ghanaian musicians, showbiz personalities and dignitaries such as Perez Praise, Ohemaa Mercy, ASP Kofi Sarpong, Ceccy Twum, Celestine Donkor, Kwesi Ernest and the immediate past Chairman of the church of Pentecost, Prof Opoku Onyinah and other clergies.
This year’s unconventional event will take place in February in Accra and Kumasi. The musicians billed to enthralled patrons on the nights with spirit-filled performances are Ohemaa Mercy,ACP Kofi Sarpong, Ceccy Twum, Celestine Donkor, Perez Praise,Joe Mettle,Piesie Esther,Moses OK, Bernice Pamford, Christiana Attafuah.
Accra will kick-start the much anticipated gospel musical concert at the Perez Dome on February 19, with artists such as Ohemaa Mercy, Joe Mettle, Bernice Panford, Perez Musik and Celestine Donkor.
Piesie Esther, Moses OK, ACP Kofi Sarpong and Ceccy Twum together with Diana Hamilton will climax this year’s event in Kumasi at the Bantama Church of Pentecost on February 26.
The ‘Awake Experience With Diana Hamilton’ musical concert started in 2014 in London with Ghana hosting its first edition in 2016.
