The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) for the Volta and Oti Regions have jointly inspected ongoing maintenance works by GRIDCO aimed at restoring stable power supply to the Volta Region.

Residents and businesses in the Ho Municipality and other parts of the Volta Region have been grappling with persistent low voltage and frequent power outages, particularly during evening hours.

The inspection focused on key infrastructure points, notably the Asiekpe Bulk Supply Point (BSP), where critical upgrades are underway to address longstanding power challenges affecting residents.

The collaboration between ECG and GRIDCO signals a renewed commitment to delivering reliable energy to communities across the region. Management teams expressed optimism that the current remedial efforts would significantly enhance the stability of the power distribution system.

The atmosphere during the inspection was one of hopeful anticipation, as the teams assessed the progress of the maintenance works. This highlights the commitment and dedication of the personnel involved in the project, underlining the importance of the exercise to the improvement of living standards in the region.

As work continues, expectations remain high for a seamless and consistent power supply that will support socio-economic development across the Volta and Oti Regions.
