Edwin van der Sar remains in a stable but concerning condition after suffering a bleed on his brain, according to a statement from his family.
The 52-year-old former Manchester United and Ajax goalkeeper was admitted to an intensive care unit on Friday and will continue to receive treatment in Croatia, where he was on vacation.
In a statement released on behalf of his wife, Ajax confirmed that van der Sar will remain in intensive care for the time being.
The former Netherlands international, who earned 130 caps for his country, recently stepped down from his role as Ajax chief executive after the club finished third in the Dutch league and failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2009.

Van der Sar had an illustrious playing career, making 266 appearances for Manchester United and helping the team secure four Premier League titles and the 2008 Champions League triumph. He also played for Fulham in the Premier League and Juventus in Serie A.
