The 2026 FIFA World Cup clash between England and Ghana has become the most-watched World Cup broadcast in the BBC’s history.

According to the BBC, the goalless draw at Gillette Stadium attracted a peak audience of 15.4 million viewers across BBC One and iPlayer.

The match generated huge interest among football fans, with both nations entering the encounter after winning their opening Group L fixtures.
