Ghana youngster Ernest Nuamah was on target for FC Nordsjaelland in the Danish Super League on Sunday as they came from behind to earn their third consecutive win.

The forward made his second start of the season against Brondby after scoring a hat-trick on the opening day of the season.

The away side stunned FC Nordjaelland with a goal in the first half which forced their opponents to respond swiftly. The Danish giants recovered in the second half after getting off to a slow start, thanks to a pass from Ibrahim Osman, Nuamah’s compatriot to Marcus Ingvartsen, who evened the score in the 52nd.

Then, Nuamah showed off his abilities by scoring an incredible free kick that left the crowd in ecstasy. The 19-year-old demonstrated that his left foot has some power and accuracy that might worry goalkeepers in the lengthy season, in addition to being designed for dribbling and accurate crosses.

He capped off his performance with another goal contribution as his diligent cross found Frese Martin who connected it with his head to add to the woes of Brondby.

The 3-1 win now puts FC Nordjaelland on the top of the Danish league table while Nuamah also climbs to the apex of the top scorers’ chart with four goals, the same as Copenhagen forward Diogo Concalves.

Nuamah’s four goals in just three appearances indicate a rise in his efficiency having already scored half of his league goals last season.
