Ghana international Felix Afena-Gyan was the victim of a robbery while away on international duty with the Black Stars last week.The forward’s home in Italy was reportedly broken into while he was with the national team for Ghana’s friendly match against Mexico.Afena-Gyan was part of the Black Stars squad that travelled to North America and featured in the 2-0 defeat to the 2026 FIFA World Cup co-hosts, playing 67 minutes.According to reports, the Turkish-based attacker returned to Italy after the international assignment only to discover that his residence had been burgled during his absence.Several personal belongings were reportedly stolen, although the full extent of the losses has not yet been disclosed.The incident comes as an unfortunate setback for the 23-year-old, who was hoping to use the international break to strengthen his case for a place in Ghana’s squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
