Norwich City Sporting Director, Ben Knapper beleives newly recruited midfielder, Forson Amankwah, will add quality to their squad.
The English Championship side have confirmed the signing of the 21-year-old on a four-year deal from Austrian side, RB Salzburg.
Speaking following the acquisition of the midfielder, Knapper praised the qualities of the former WAFA midfielder and added that he will improve their side.
“Forson is a talented and very well-rounded player, who will add quality and versatility to our squad,” he told the official club website.
“He’s progressed through a fantastic player development system and brings with him experience in both the Champions League, as well as being a senior international with Ghana.
“We feel he is a great fit for us, and I’m sure that we can develop him further and achieve great things together,” he added.
He has been handed jersey number 18 at the club. Amankwah has already debuted for the Black Stars and will be hoping to cement his place in the team.
However, the transfer is still subject to international clearance and approval from the regulatory governing bodies.
In March, Amankwah made his debut for Ghana’s national team, playing a total of 88 minutes in friendly matches against Nigeria and Uganda.
