Osu Mantse HRH Notse Nii Nortey Owuo IV has expressed his commitment towards the growth and development of the People of Osu through enhancing partnerships with Development partners and bodies.
This follows a visit of the French Minister of State for development, Francophonie and international partnerships, Madam Chrysoula Zacharopoulou to the Osu Mantse as part of her working visit to Ghana.
Among key issues discussed during the visit include efforts by both parties targeted at developing Osu and its environs through the use of Information Communication Technology focusing on youth, innovation and culture.
Madam Chrysoula Zacharopoulou expressed the willingness of the French Government to enhance mutual international partnerships aimed at advancing development in various fields of endeavour.
In his address, the paramount chief of Osu, HRH Notse Nii Nortey Owuo IV noted his commitment to promoting education, particularly among the youth in Osu.
He said, “Education remains a pivotal part of my plans towards bringing development to the people of Osu in order to enhance efforts to catch up with the rest of the world”.
He called for the need for the youth to take advantage of the AI revolution as a stepping stone towards utilizing the full potential of ICT in today’s world.
He further added that he is open to partnerships aimed at putting resources into the growth of Osu as well as the development of its people.
Madam Chrysoula Zacharopoulou was also named as Naa Shomey Akayefi by HRH Notse Nii Nortey Owuo IV who further urged to consider Osu as her home and visit when she returns to Ghana in future.
