The Black Stars of Ghana will hold a friendly match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on March 22, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco. Ghana and Nigeria both currently have no head coach taking charge of national team operations.
Ghana parted ways with their head coach, Chris Hughton, immediately after they suffered an embarrassing exit from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire. Nigeria, on the other hand, also had to let Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro go after leading them to silver at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars will stage another friendly against Uganda four days after clashing with Nigeria in Morocco. The team will be looking to build some momentum with this friendly match ahead of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
With friendly matches already being scheduled, Ghanaians are keenly waiting for the appointment of a new head coach who will lead the team’s preparation ahead of the international break.
