In an effort to alleviate the huge financial cost involved in purchasing a home in Ghana, IndigoHomes, the developer of Ayi Mensah Park and Oyarifa Park communities, has unveiled a novelle pathway to homeownership for salaried workers at its latest project – Greenwich Park – at Borteyman area in Accra.

Speaking at the first gathering of new and prospective homeowners at the Greenwich Park site in Accra, the Commercial Director of IndigoHomes, Anne Murungi, revealed that salaried workers can use their Tier 3 contributions as down payment for a townhouse at the Greenwich Park.
“You can actually use your Tier 3 for your down payment and then use the bank to give you a mortgage. So you don’t have to think of saving toward a home. Your tier 3 already can do your down payment,” she explained.
For employees who are unfamiliar with the process, Mrs. Murungi encouraged them to have a conversation with their HR departments. “If they are not familiar with it, let them talk to us and we can always be in touch with the pension fund manager to see how we can support that staff member. We will always be willing to support whichever institution has an employee that wants to use their Tier 3,” she assured.
Mrs. Murungi also revealed that IndigoHomes has partnered with major banks in Ghana, including First Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Fidelity Bank and Republic Bank, to offer mortgage terms of up to 15 years at affordable rates.
The Greenwich Park comprises 270 townhouses, with full completion projected for the second quarter of 2031. Phase 1 construction is underway. With the first 14 units of phase 1 set for handover in October, and all 39 units of the phase to be delivered by December, 2025 – complete with paved roads and mature greenery – Mrs. Murungi said. “Your home at Greenwich Park can become a reality within months”.
Mrs. Murungi added that the company will give a three-year warranty to all and maintain an on-site office to attend to homeowners’ concerns.
To mark the occasion, homeowners and prospective homeowners planted two Mahogany trees on the 19.5-acre land earmarked for the Greenwich Park, underscoring IndigoHomes’ commitment to environmental sustainability.
The Greenwich Park development sits on a 19.5-acre land. According to Mrs. Murungi, 2.5 acres has been set aside for landscaped green space. She explained that the planting of the two iconic trees was more than ceremonial – it was a permanent landmark of the birth of a community.
“We brought our homeowners together to network and to appreciate them for believing in our dream; but most importantly to put a landmark on the community. These two trees will forever mark the start of Greenwich Park,” she said.
Beyond the greenery, Mrs. Murungi detailed a design philosophy that she argues sets IndigoHomes apart. “For us, quality is key. We just don’t build houses. We build homes that people love to live in,” she stated.
She noted that everything in the project – from interior storage spaces and appliances to integrated amenities like sports courts, children’s play areas and swimming pools – is geared toward fostering a secure, healthy lifestyle where parents don’t worry about their children’s whereabouts.
“If you walk through Oyarifa Park or Ayi Mensah Park today, you’ll walk on tree-lined boulevard walkways. That’s exactly what we’re creating here,” she added, reinforcing the developer’s track record of delivering fully finished and sustainable communities.
