Distribution of electoral materials by Officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) is underway in Ketu South Constituency ahead of the much-awaited 2024 general election slated for Saturday, 7 December 2024.
A visit to the Municipality has revealed how busy officials were at the Assembly Hall, which serves as the Collation Centre together with Agents of Political Parties arranging things in an orderly manner.
The Municipal Director of EC, Kofi Sakyi Boampong was present with his men and women at about 3 pm on Friday evening putting material and other electoral kits into ballot boxes for each centre.
According to him all is set and his people are ready for tomorrow’s national exercise.
He said about Two Hundred and Ninty-Five Polling Centres (295) including two (2) special voting centres to be located at the forecourt of the Assembly.
The packing exercise is been supervised by armed police officers.
On Saturday about One hundred Forty Seven thousand (147,000) registered voters are expected to cast ballots for twelve (12) Presidential Candidates and two (2) Parliamentary candidates in persons of Samuel Wisdom Doe Haligah on the ticket of the NPP and the incumbent, Abla Dzifa Gomashie for the NDC.
