Asante Kotoko interim coach Abdul Gazale has attributed the team’s inconsistent performances to their inability to quickly grasp his instructions before games.
The Porcupines have not won back-to-back games since November 2022 and failed to break the jinx in their game against King Faisal on Wednesday night.
Gazale acknowledged that it would take time for his players to understand his instructions, which would enable them to win more games.
He revealed that the team will use the break to learn more before their next game against Berekum Chelsea on April 15.
Gazale said, “Before we started the game the instructions were not clear to them. When they begin to understand [we will improve]. And we can’t use one day to do all that. It will take time, but I believe we have started well. It was evident in the second half. If they played the first half like we did in the second half, we could have gotten the needed goals to win the match.”
Kotoko are currently fifth in the standings with 39 points, five points away from leaders Aduana Stars.
