Nana Agyeman Badu II, the Dormaahene, has pledged to give a lifetime scholarship to the first male child born in Dormaa Ahenkro.
The powerful Chief declared on Thursday that the first male child in the Bono regional born town would be named after the Ghana captain Andre Ayew.
Ayew, 2011 BBC African Footballer of the Year, led a star-studded side to participate in the 2023 All Stars Festival games in Dormaa Ahenkro.
Nana Agyeman Badu II, who is also the bankroller of Aduana Stars, says the 33-year-old ex-Nottingham Forest forward remains the chief of his city for the period he remains in the city.
Upon receiving the customised souvenir from the August 2015 English Premier League Player of the Month Award winner, the chief declared that the first male child born in the town would be named after the Black Stars captain.
He further stated, the child would be given a lifetime scholarship by the Dormaahene.
