Lionel Messi has purchased custom-designed gold iPhones for his Argentina teammates and coaching staff following their World Cup victory in Qatar 2022.
The total cost of the 35 devices, which were delivered to Paris, was reportedly £175,000. Messi, who recently won the FIFA Best men’s player of the year award, worked with IDESIGN GOLD to create the special gifts for his team members.
The CEO of IDESIGN GOLD, Ben Lyons, shared that Messi wanted a unique way to celebrate the win and chose the idea of gold iPhones inscribed with the recipients’ names.
Messi’s outstanding performance at the tournament earned him the Golden Ball award for the player of the tournament.
