New Ghana coach Chris Hughton has spoken about the role of Arsenal star man Thomas Partey as he gears up for his maiden game at the helm of the Black Stars.
Hughton, former Newcastle United and Brighton manager, was unveiled as the Black Stars coach on Monday morning in Kumasi.
During his interaction with the press, he spoke about the influence of Partey at both Arsenal and the Ghana national team.
“Partey’s roles for both club and country are different from each other but key. His role in the team is as a continuity player. He is not the type of player to expect to dribble past multiple players. His role is important to what the team does even if he doesn’t always stand out,” he said at the press conference.
Partey has 13 goals in 43 games for Ghana.
