Ghanaian-born German Phil Ofosu-Ayeh has been named the fastest player in the Swedish Premier League following the right-back’s impressive form for his club Halmstads BK in the new season.

The former Wolves right-back has picked fine form and many believe this is the time to play for a big club in Europe.

His manager, Magnus Haglund, is of the view that Phil Ofosu-Ayeh ought to change his nationality and play for the Swedish national team.

He has been described by many as the fastest player in the new season.

He has won two MVPs and Sweden nationals are him to renew his nationality to switch to Sweden.

But the former Championship player has professed love for the Black Stars.

“I really love Ghana and always would want to play for the Black Stars. Ghana is my father’s homeland and my spirit is with the black stars.

“I enjoyed playing for the Black Stars in the Canada friendly but feels hurt anytime I was injured and was ruled out of Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers,” he said.

Phil Ofosu-Ayeh made his debut for the senior national soccer team on October 13, 2015 when Ghana played Canada in a friendly in Washington D.C.

He later received many calls to the national team but injury ruled him out in most of them, especially the AFCON qualifiers.

Phil’s club Halmstad are sixth on the league log with 20 points.

He has been unstoppable and, already, being chased by many clubs ahead of the summer window.
