Black Starlets coach Prosper Narteh Ogum says his players are ready to fight for victory against Senegal in their crucial Group D encounter at the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana face Senegal on Sunday after drawing 2-2 with Algeria in their opening game of the tournament.
Speaking after the teams final training session in Rabat, Ogum expressed satisfaction with the condition of his squad ahead of the important fixture.
The boys are in good condition, and we are happy there are no injury concerns in camp. Everybody trained very well, and the focus is fully on the Senegal game, he said.
The Black Starlets coach admitted Senegal would provide a difficult challenge but insisted his side believes strongly in its own quality.
Senegal is a very good team, and we respect them because they have shown quality over the years at this level. But we also believe strongly in ourselves and what we can do as a team, Ogum added.
The former Asante Kotoko coach also stressed the importance of securing all three points.
We are going into the game targeting a win. The players understand the importance of the match, and they are ready to give everything on the pitch. I am convinced the boys will live up to expectations.
Ghanas technical team has spent the last few days reviewing the Algeria game and working on areas including finishing, transitions and defensive organisation ahead of the Senegal test.
