President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has described the FAs new five-year partnership with X1 as a major step in strengthening both national and domestic football structures.The agreement, officially unveiled at the FAs headquarters on Friday, April 17, 2026, confirms X1 as the Official Performance Partner of the Black Stars and the Division One League Super Cup. The deal is expected to provide financial backing, performance products and logistical support over the duration.Speaking at the launch, Simeon-Okraku, who also serves as CAF 2nd Vice-President, said the partnership aligns with the FAs long-term plans to improve standards across all levels of the game.Today marks a defining moment in our journey to transform and elevate Ghana football. It is with great pride and optimism that we officially announce this five-year partnership, he said.He stressed that the timing is important, particularly as Ghana steps up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.As Performance Partner of the Black Stars, X1 will play a vital role in enhancing preparation, performance and the overall well-being of the team. This support comes at a crucial time as we intensify efforts towards the World Cup, he added.Beyond the national team, the GFA President pointed to the wider impact on the domestic game, especially through the Division One League Super Cup.Equally significant is X1s commitment to domestic football. By partnering the Division One League Super Cup, they are investing directly in the foundation of our game, the clubs, players and communities that drive Ghana football, he stated.Simeon-Okraku noted that the agreement is not limited to branding but includes key operational support aimed at improving efficiency and performance across competitions.This partnership goes beyond visibility.
