Legendary former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah was seen shedding tears at the funeral service of late Ghanaian rapper OJ Blaq on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
The service was held at the Empowerment Worship Center in Accra, where OJ Blaq served as a pastor before his death.
Among the attendees were dignitaries, family, friends, former Achimota School students, and members of the entertainment industry, such as former GFA President Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamaklo and Former skipper of the Black Stars Stephen Appiah.
One of the most emotional moments of the funeral was when Stephen Appiah was spotted in tears. The sharp lenses of GhanaWeekend captured the legendary former Black Stars captain clad in white African apparel with a bag under his armpit shedding tears, as he mourned the loss of his friend.
OJ Blaq, born Andy Nii Akrashie, passed away on Thursday, August 27, after a long battle with kidney disease. He was 40 years old and known for the hit song “Chalewote”
