Afrobeat star Camidoh has made an astonishing revelation that he wanted to be a pilot
On The Chat with Ekow Koomson on Channel One TV, Camidoh explained that the music of acclaimed singer Akon influenced his career path.
The celebrated Afrobeat singer described his transition from an aspiring pilot to musician as part of a higher calling.
“I think in the beginning we used to be super excited and all of that. When you get to understand that there is a higher purpose, you know that you called for this thing and so you start to just see it as a part of the journey and also part of the calling. So, then you don’t celebrate too much.” He said
He continued,“It is not for you to celebrate, it is also a reason to inspire people. So, you keep working to be able to achieve more and more. I really just came to inspire people with my life. That is how I got into music, I literally was inspired because I wanted to be a pilot and I watched Akon saying in his music on YouTube and I got inspired; Don’t matter, Ghetto and all of them.
“I watched him and I felt like he was a very special artiste and I still feel like that. That is how I aim to be,”
