Ghana star Mohammed Kudus stole the headline with a stunning strike against on Sunday but has pledged to entertain fans with more heroics.

The 23-year-old ignited hopes of West Ham against eventual winners of the Premier League Manchester City with a stunning bicycle kick on the final day of the 2023/24 season.

City were more determined as they struck twice through Player of the Season winner Phil Foden in the opening 20 minutes.

However, Mohammed Kudus served fans with a captivating moment on the eve of half-time. The Black Stars attacker flicked the ball and sent home a sweet overhead kick beyond Stefan Ortega, the Manchester City goalkeeper.

I’m still far off how I see myself performing in this league and doing my best. It’s good to get the first season on the run but I have a long way to go and there is more stuff coming ahead.”

The goal which halved the deficit sparked hopes for both the Hammers and their London neighbours Arsenal who were in contention for the title.

As an attacker doing my best to get the team back in the game, we didn’t give up at 2-0. It gave the team the energy that we could be back in the game so yeah, glad that it went in. It’s just one of those times in the game where you follow your instincts and I know I have the qualities to do stuff like that because it’s not the first time so I just went for it and was glad it went in and gave the team the incentive to get back in the game.

However, all didn’t work according to plan as Rodri sealed a 3-1 victory for City who clinched a historic fourth title.

The goal from Mohammed Kudus was his eighth of the season in the league and he is hoping to increase his tally in his second season.
