England winger Bukayo Saka remains a major doubt for Tuesday’s FIFA World Cup Group L encounter against Ghana after missing his side’s training session on Saturday.
The Arsenal star was absent as the Three Lions continued preparations for the crucial clash, raising further concerns about his fitness ahead of the match.
England manager Thomas Tuchel had already suggested that Saka was unlikely to be ready for a starting role against the Black Stars. The German coach admitted earlier this week that the winger had not yet recovered sufficiently to be considered for the starting lineup.
Saka’s absence would be a significant blow for England, given his importance to the team’s attacking play and his ability to influence matches in the final third.
With only a few days remaining before the fixture, England’s medical staff will continue to monitor the 24-year-old’s condition. His participation remains uncertain as the Three Lions seek to maintain their strong start to the tournament against an in-form Ghana side.
