Ghanaian musician Black Sherif was honoured with the Man of the Year – Music Award at the 8th EMY Africa Awards on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
The event took place at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre, and saw Black Sherif recognized for his outstanding contributions to Ghanaian music and his global success.
Black Sherif is one of the most popular and successful musicians in Ghana today. He is known for his unique blend of hiplife, afrobeat, and reggae music. His songs, such as “Second Sermon”, “Kwaku the Traveller”, and “Soja”, have become global hits and have been streamed millions of times on music streaming platforms.
The reigning VGMA Artiste Of The Year has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in African music, including Burna Boy.
The EMY Africa Awards are an annual event that celebrates the achievements of men and women who have made significant contributions to society in various fields, including business, entertainment, and sports.
The awards are organized by the Exclusive Men’s Club International, a non-profit organization that promotes the development of men and boys in Africa.
